| What: | This is a 3-day Training Workshop for the North Carolina Department of Transportation and NCDOT Consultants (and, space permitting, other NC agencies) on using Tru-Traffic for both, signal coordination, and travel time & delay studies. Days 1 & 2 cover basic topics, and are geared toward first time and/or less experienced users. Day 3 covers advanced topics and new features in version 11.0. This day is geared toward experienced users, and it build on the material covered in days one and two. Advance/experienced users may wish to attend only Days 3, while new/beginning users are highly recommended to attend the 3-day session to get the full benefits of the workshop. |
| Prerequisites: | The workshop will include optional hands-on training, so participants are welcome to bring their laptop computers with Tru-Traffic 11.0 preinstalled. To install version 11.0, download the file SetupTru-Traffic11.msi and open it. If you don't already have a license to version 11.0 (in Help: About: License), contact Greg Bullock for the temporary license. The workshop will include a section stepping through how to use Google Earth with Tru-Traffic 11.0, so you'll probably want that preinstalled as well. The free version is sufficient for our purposes. |
